The taste and aroma of this dish make me nostalgic as I reminisce about my childhood days. When I was a child, I would always look forward to Sundays. It was the best day of the week, as we would stay home and enjoy my mother’s hearty dinner, the star of which was the most moist, juiciest and tenderest chicken wings I had ever tasted.
I have always had the interest and desire to learn cooking, even at a young age. I wanted to cook delicious food to bring joy to my family and friends. However, my parents were concerned with my safety in the kitchen where there were sharp knives and the danger of fire hazards. So my interest was put on hold for some time, as I battled with other matters in my young life such as school exams!
Growing up, my dream of cooking never faded. When I reached my teens, I started watching YouTube videos and searching the Internet for culinary tips. I could not seem to find the recipe to my mother’s awesome chicken wings though. One day, I decided to ask her to teach me her secret recipe – how she transformed normal, naked chicken wings into something so magical. She gladly obliged and so here I am, sharing the recipe of Singapore’s Best Chicken Wings with My Singapore Food, so this legendary recipe will be preserved!
