Like any comfort food, they tend to remind us of our childhood or certain memorable and happy moments in our lives. Mustard Green Pork Rice is one such dish for me.

This was a dish that my grandma, aunties and mum used to cook when I was a child. Each of them has their own version. Naturally, my mum’s version is my favourite. It is my all-time favourite comfort food.

Now that I am married, I cook this dish using my mum’s recipe to remind me of home. It comforts my heart as I think of happy and carefree days of my childhood, and warms my tummy as I savour the delicious combination of juicy mustard greens and the flavoursome rice.
