Chicken in Tomato Sauce with Green Pea Rice

Ingredients

  • Chicken in Tomato Sauce

    400g skinless boneless chicken

    2 nos eggs (boiled)

    4 tbsp olive oil

    4 bayleaf

    6-8 green cardamom

    25g garlic (chopped)

    4 cup raw tomato puree

    4 tsp red chilli powder

    1 tsp coriander powder

    1 tsp cumin powder

    1 tsp garam masala

    Salt to taste

    Coriander Leaves – chopped

     

  • Green Pea Rice

    6tbsp butter or ghee

    4 cup boiled rice

    1/2 cup boiled green peas

    1/2 tsp cumin seeds

    1/4 tsp turmeric

Methods

    Chicken in Tomato Sauce

    1. Cut the chicken in to 2 inch pieces.
    2. Boil the Whole Egg, de-shell it. keep it aside
    3. Make a Puree of tomatoes Keep it aside.
    4. Chop the peeled Garlic finely.
    5. Chop green Coriander Leaf Finely.
    6. Keep all the ingredients ready before you start cooking.
    7. Heat A non stick Pan, Put the olive oil.
    8. Now add the bay leaf, green cardamom, sauté it for few seconds
    9. Add Chopped Garlic, sauté it till light golden brown.
    10. Add the Tomato purees bring it to boil.
    11. Add the red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and little water, cook it on medium flame. For 20-25 mins until the rawness of tomato goes and it’s flavorful.
    12. Now add the chicken pieces, stir it well, and cook it till 15-20 mins.
    13. Add salt and butter or ghee, mix it well
    14. Finally cut eggs in half, put in the sauce.
    15. Serve in a bowl garnished with coriander leafs

    Green Pea Rice

    1. Heat oil in pan, Add 2 tab sp ghee.
    2. Add the Boiled Green Peas sauté for 3-4 mins and add the rice and pinch of salt and sugar.
    3. Pinch of salt, mix it well.
    4. Serve with chicken dish.
